First light at the Rocks and no sign of Cristobal.

Late afternoon session was a little better but nothing close to what was going on up the coast. Guess we were just outside the swell window on this one.

 Over at the Rocks early AM hoping for a little pulse. Storm was still well south of Hatteras but one does hope for a surprise now and then. Never know unless you go.

Lite crowd. Plenty of room for the 4 of us.

Surfboards are cool

Roach and J-Rob stopped by the Goofyfoot's Garage last night and brought some conversation fuel along with em. A few cervezas were consumed, board designs were discussed and rails were rubbed. Good times!

The "Queen" was across the bay with her GFs this weekend and stopped by Chauncey's in OCMD to snap a few photos for me. Always some nice old logs hanging around in that shop. Thanks sweetie.

Life is a journey....



Haleakala 2007

As he steps onto a plane this morning, I can only wonder when the next time will be when we get to see him again. Over the last 6 years we've become accustomed to few visits but it was nice to have him nearby for a little while. We'll miss him dearly but wish him all the happiness and joy a heart can hold as he starts a new chapter of his life on the other side of the world.

 Well, it wasn't huge by any stretch but TS Bertha did throw a pretty decent swell our way.

Logged somewhere close to 6 hours of water time today. Stoke tank is full!

Rain makes the grass grow

But it didn't do much for the waves

 Pre-dawn, down pour surf check @ the Cove. Stiff NE breeze bringing only weak and tiny offerings. This was the best set I saw, ankle high and dribbling.

Luckily, the mailman hooked me up with some reading material.

So the "Queen" goes to AC....

AND.... she brings home some $$$!!!  :)
