One pretty Jacobs

Delaware ripper/shaper Matt Garbutt rode the ferry over this morning to pick up a vintage few boards. The Jacobs he picked up today was freaking gorgeous.
I love being the "board storage" guy for my friends. I get to rub the rails on some real beauties sometimes. :)

Peaky and clean

After yesterday's snowstorm it was nice to see the sun this morning. Was also nice to see clean chest high peaks rolling in at the Rocks. Fun 3 hour session with a pretty full line-up for a Tuesday morning. A couple of cover ups and some nice long lefts. Good times.
Momma and her kids on the road in.

A Liddle bit of torture....

Why I go on west coast Craigslists to look at the board sales is beyond me at this point. When I see things like this for sale out there, its a bit of torture for this east coaster.

CON mini pins

Had another CON mini pin stop by the garage for a few days. This one had a lay-over here while making its way over to Delaware. Was interesting to have the two side by side. Similar yet so different.

Sunny Daze

The sun was out, the surf was up and it was nice day to get familiar with a new board.

Still a bit too stormy....

A little less nasty than last night but still a long way from clean lined up walls. Heard CM was waist to chest high and clean. But when I heard it was packed kookfest, I opted to surf with just a few friends at the Rocks. Had a few big drops, got taken out from behind on a couple meaty ones and spent quite a bit of time underwater today.  A lot of water moving around out there today. Horrid currents and just too lumpy. Matt J. had the wave of the day on a well overhead left. How he managed that drop still has me scratching my head. Good exercise today but a frustrating session overall. A few snaps from the Rocks for your viewing pleasure...

Matty getting way to close to the Rocks. For a second we thought he was going to join us up on top....
DE ripper/shaper Matt Garbutt over for the day to pick up a few boards.
Wish we had better conditions for his first surf over here.

Luke shaves it for St. Baldricks!

Stoked about what our little man did today. Luke raised $285 to have his head shaved in support of the St. Baldrick's Foundation to Conquer Childhood Cancer. Great job Luke. Proud of ya boy!
