666... Oh snap!
Did not realize that yesterday's post put me up to a certain ominous number. So here's one to get me over to 667. Sorry Satan, no love.

Bree-Zee
Fell back in time overnight, woke to the sound of a jet engine howling over the house. No jet, just a NW wind firing on all cylinders. Got to the Rocks by 8a to find it OK clean with 30kt offshore gusts. NUTS! Steve from CM was as eager for a surf as I was, so out we went. Not perfect nor inviting but it was something. There were some decent walls to fly down and a stiff north to south current to add to the fun and fury out in the water. Air 44 and the water somewhere around 60 I believe. Had several fun ones, got tossed on two and the walk back up to the parking lot was a workout in itself. A little taste of Winter on the 2nd day of November...
My poor quality snaps don't quite capture the wind. You may be able to see the blowing sand and get an idea.
The flag at the Bree-Zee-Lee marina on the drive home. Straight out!

So close....
With a hard NE blowing and airs temps dropping I was hoping to find some magic in town to warm me up. Checked all up/down Beach Ave. Povs was dumping, Queen St. was teasing, HQ was trying and the Cove was, well, it wasn't doing much either. Too much tide and not enough sand. With the 45kt NW gusts and 8'-12' seas NOAA has forecasted, the Rocks could get interesting tomorrow morning....

Nope...
Another bust in the surf forecast department. Was hoping for a little something and that's exactly what we got. Too little though...
Happy for my friends Jason, Katie and Steiny out in the Bay Area. Great series and one for the history books I believe.

Take Fast Hold...
I need to learn to hold the camera straight while I cruise thru the Woods
Sunrise at the north end
The Monarch migration in full swing this weekend. Some of the crew laying low from the stiff NW breeze
Sweet little trim machine!
Missed out on the Saturday afternoon surf but managed a fun couple hours this morning. Stiff offshores and 50 degree air temps really cooled off things out in the line-up. Fortunately there were some fun little zippy walls to keep things toasty.
Beth D. has been ripping all summer on her Mom's vintage 7'8" Ernie Tanaka V-bottom. Ran into her this AM with a board her Dad shaped in 1973. Very nice!
If you ever want to SUP around Cape May, be sure and look her up HERE
