Road Trip

Rolled out to Battle Creek, MI for the weekend to attend a wedding. My buddy's son tied the knot with his longtime GF on a lovely 4th of July afternoon. The lakeside residents were all locked and loaded and provided an awesome fireworks display after sunset. Long drive but well worth it. Good times with good friends!

 

Ironic. I cut grass for a living and this is was our 1st pit-stop. :)

I finally got around to getting the little 6'10" 1970s Challenger I picked up over the winter all cleaned up and watertight. Eager to see how she goes. 

 

 

B-Rob ties the knot....

My young surf buddy and brand new USCG Diver married his lovely GF yesterday afternoon. The newly married couple has a few more days in town before moving to Hawaii where Rob will be assigned to a buoy tender as a member of their dive team. Poor guy, imagine having to travel around the south Pacific and get paid to dive near exotic ports of call. I really feel for him. Ha! :)

Sunny Saturday!

Rolled out of bed early hoping to find a bit of swell on this sun-shiney Saturday morning. No joy in the swell dept. Cape May was a solid ankle high and clean and the Rocks were a choppy sloppy mess.
On the plus side, we got our little man back from Summer camp yesterday and its a beautiful day for my buddy B-Rob and his lovely bride to exchange some wedding vows. 
Life is good. :)

A lot of running around the last few weeks but not much surf. Hoping that the current 1' and choppy cycle gives way to something better very soon.
