September Sundays

Sundays this month have just been great and I have been lucky to be in the water for all four of them. Today was my first surf on my newly acquired Jacobs. I was hoping for a little something clean and I ended up in a little something sloppy that turned into something a little bigger than I was hoping for. Board had me swimming on my first two waves but after those were out of the way, the rest of the session was a blast. Waves seemed to get better, wind backed off and shifted offshore, and surfing with good friends made it another beautiful September Sunday!

Thursday morning HQ

A little too much east in the winds this AM. Managed to snag a few but the chop was a bit much for a 9' 2". Poverty looked fun tonight. Sadly, I was checking it while working.... Hoping for some Friday morning leftovers.

Surfing till dark:30

Very fun HQ tonight. Clean and building on the incoming tide. Had a few long ones that made my week! ;) Meant to get out a little sooner and snap some photos of the slab that was pitching off the rocks and the guys getting stuffed in some clean little barrels. Alas, the waves kept me in the water till it was a little too dark for pictures.... Aloha!

Takayama JT Flow model

This was recently up for grabs on the Jamboards site and I was soooooo close....... If it was located in the region I would have definately snatched it up. Beauty of a board. 9' 6" x 22 3/4" x 3 1/16"

Happy Labor Day!

Glad to see the summer tourist season come to a close. A few thousand less people and cars in town is a good thing.

Had some fun Poverty early this AM. I didn't look like it was going to be much but turned out to be pretty good. Cleaned up after the rain storm and there was some size in the sets.

A little NE

A little NE swell pushed into CM this week. Nothing too epic but some NE swell in town is a good thing. Surfed a very mushy and high tide Grant St. last night with my buddy Jarrod. A few sets off the rocks but not many offerings otherwise. We did get treated to an awesome sunset behind the lighthouse. Very nice view! Tonight had a bit more juice and size just a few blocks up Beach Ave. Surfed Poverty till well past dark. Had a few nice ones and enjoyed another night of cool NE breezes and warm water. Life is very good!
